Control System Details

I have recently ( April 2000 ) completed the rudder and elevator control connections. This is the right rudder pedal with the cables connected.

Two cables run from the rudder pedals and split as they go through the seat back. One goes to the rudder and the other to the tail wheel.

This view shows the cable attached to the tail wheel arm.

These are the cables that attach to the rudder.

Airspeed System and Strobe Light

I have mounted the pitot tube and a strobe light in the vertical fin.

Here is a close-up of the installations. The tube for the pitot and the wires that connect to the strobe run down the fin and into the fuselage.

The airspeed static pick-ups are located in the fuselage sides near the tail. The red line is the push-pull cable that controls the elevator. (May 2000)

Wheel Brakes

The brakes are applied by squeezing the lever attached to the control stick.

Separate cables run from the stick control to each wheel brake drum.

Shoulder Harness and Seat Belt

The shoulder harness is attached to cables that travel to an attach point at the very tail end of the fuselage. (August 2000)
