Tyger's Diary for August 3, 1999
Grrrrrrreetings once again everyone! Yes, I know, I'm late getting back to you with an update. But I was going crazy trying to figure out how to get a copy of the above picture, taken by me, of course, onto this website for you to see. This past Saturday I received a letter from the International Library of Photography informing me that my picture of Ian (above) is now available for viewing at their website. I was all excited and went to see my picture right away. Then I went nuts trying to transload it here. (It doesn't transload. I finally had to do a video capture to add it to my WebTV scrapbook.) But at long last, after much thought and hard work, here it is for you to see and enjoy. I own the copyright of this picture. So if you want to copy it, you must contact me for my permission first. And, yes, I know, it's a dog, not a cat. So why is he here? Only because I wish to share my accomplishment with you! I feel proud that my picture could be a prize winner (winners will be announced late this fall), and also, that it's being published in the Library's latest anthology of photos book entitled, The Looking Glass, also due out late this fall in bookstores everywhere. This is my first real success with my work. So I wanted to share my joy with all of my friends here at The Tyger's Den! I hope you like the picture. Your comments are welcome. Grrrrrin! As for the dog, this is Ian, my purebred german shepherd male who died at the grand old age of 15 back in 1990. He was a prize winner at AKC dog shows in his youth. He won me several ribbons and some nice trophies. He was a wonderful pet, as well, obedient, intelligent, and a loving companion. I love him still and miss him terribly. Next time, I'll get back to the cat stories, I promise. I just HAD to share this good fortune with you. See you soon! TygerStar079
My dog's picture is a semi-finalist in the photography contest at the International Library of Photography (taken by yours truly)! It is being published this fall in a book called The Looking Glass. This is my copyrighted photo. Please do not copy this picture without asking me first! Thanks!
