TYGER'S DIARY OCTOBER 15, 1999
OCTOBER 15, 1999
Halloween is a great time for celebration at our house, as are all the major holidays. On Halloween, my cats celebrate with a major costume party. Even my dogs are invited! The main attraction, of course, is the food. The cats get lots of good things to eat, including tuna and chicken, cream, and cat treats. The dogs get treats, too. Last year, my pets had a great time. Everyone got dressed up in doll clothes and costumes. Mother Keedie, the mother of most of the family, went as a Halloween witch with a black pointed hat, broomstick, and a dress of autumn leaves with a matching apron. She was actually the kitchen witch. Tang, the siamese, went as a bandit. He didn't even need a mask because he wears his own all the time. Suzy was dressed as a ragdoll, SnowPuff wore a Superman costume, and, Misty played the part of the warrior princess. The dogs went as outer space robots. Early in the evening, everyone piled into the family car to go trick-or-treating. They went from door to door and house to house together, carrying their gaily colored bags to keep their treats in. If someone didn't give them a treat, Suzy responded with a wonderful trick. She'd just sit up and beg for her treats! Later, when they returned home, the main costume party began. Suzy played the organ so everyone could dance to the music. Tang howled along. He was a pretty good singer, too. Cats and dogs danced and sang and ate the delicious tuna, chicken, beef. and turkey platters that were waiting for them. They topped it all off with rich cream to drink for dessert. By the end of the evening, everyone went to sleep in his or her favorite corner bed, full, contented, and happy. It was a successful party. They all had a wonderful time. And that's the way it is at our house every Halloween. You have a Happy Halloween, too! See you next time!
Best Wishes from TygerStar!
