My Weight Loss Journal....

I started my weight loss adventure in March, 2007. I wasn't feeling well....and I went to the doctor for blood work. They found low blood sugar, which I had known from the past. However, I didn't know that I topped the scales at a whopping 345 pounds. Immediately, I started a weight loss program....

My plan was pretty simple: I needed to cut sugar to start getting my blood sugar stabilized. Also, I had lots of gall stone and hiatal hernia problems, so I needed to cut fried foods....Plus, I had researched that vinegar will burn fat and help with candida/yeast overproduction, which I suffer from in the form of allergies, psoriasis, etc. So, I immediately cut sugar & fried foods, started drinking water and taking vinegar & supplements....

I lost weight fast...I think I was retaining a lot of fluid, so it came off quickly. Also, I walked quite a bit and continued to swim...

By September, I had lost 100 pounds. Honestly, I probably lost it too fast. I've had to constantly tweak my diet....and I probably wasn't getting enough food/protein. Also, the constant struggle with stabilizing blood sugar is an ongoing problem...

Naturally, I've had to buy new clothes...Here I am, workin' that new Claiborne shirt...haha.

Well, that's where I am right now....As of mid-November, I have lost 114 pounds. Last time it was checked, blood sugar was 82, in normal range, blood pressure was good, cholesterol was down. Think I could be on The Biggest Loser? :)

Update-February, 2009: Well, good news. Not only have I maintained the weight loss, I have lost a total of 132 pounds. I rejoined Lifetime Wellness Center, try to go 4 times a week and receive positive comments about my weight loss accomplishments.
