THE MONTHLY HOWL
JUNE 30, 2000
Woof woof! Sorry it's taken me so long to get back to you. There was a major webtv upgrade recently. It messed up some of the webpage formatting of webtv webpages. Text and images were found to be overlapping over the left borders on bordered backgrounds following the upgrade. We were afraid to edit our pages for awhile, lest we ruin the way they look! But since this page doesn't have a bordered background, I decided it was time to let you all know what's going on with us lately!
The big news is, of course, that 4th of July is upon us already! How hard it is for me to believe, even as a dog, that the year 2000 is already half over! But 4th of July is a grand celebration for us at my house. It means seeing parades on tv and watching fireworks at night. It's a bit scarey for us dogs, however. All that loud noise! The banging and booming and crackling of fireworks and the bright lights that light up the night sky tend to send Newman and I running for cover to hide till it's over! Even the cats get scared! It almost seems like a thunderstorm, the way it acts. So we don't enjoy that part of things as much as the humans do. However, this year is a little bit different for the cats in our family. They're having a pajama party at their website over the 4th. They've invited tons and tons of cats to sleep over! Ugh! Newman and I weren't invited! They're having their own dinner with a band, a parade, a magic show, dancing, and yes, even dreaded fireworks! It's because they're celebrating their website's first full year of being on the web. But they still didn't include us! We're very disappointed doggies. We should have a party of our own and not invite the cats to it! Maybe that's what we'll just do! Stay tuned for more, folks. In the meantime, check out our cats' party over the weekend at this link: The Tyger's Den 4th of July Pajama Party For Cats. Just click to go there. We won't see you there. But I think we'll do something else of our own soon...... Happy 4th of July anyway, everyone! See you next time!
Your Faithful Friend, Brownie
