THE WEEKLY HOWL
FEBRUARY 17, 2000
Ow oooooo!!!! I guess The Weekly Howl isn't weekly any more! Whiiiiiinnnnne! Whimper! Well, we've been so busy lately, it's not surprising. Do doggies have a Valentine's Day? You betcha we do! And we did, too! We got Valentine treats, beefy dinners, pieces of real hamburger mixed into our kibble. We got special walks out in the snow, where we also got to romp and run and play for a limited period of time. Not too long, so that we wouldn't get too cold. Our mistress always makes sure we don't stay out in the cold too long. Well, neither of us got to have dates with lady dogs, but that's okay. Newman and I are both neutered anyway. We both gave our mistress oodles of nice doggie kisses as well. The cats even had their share of the fun.
But moving right along, now that it's over, it may interest you to know about doggie dreaming. Have you ever watched your canine friend as he or she sleeps? Well, we dream when we sleep. Honest, we do! My mistress has seen me twitching and shivering in my sleep. In fact, not only do I twitch, I wag my tail in my sleep, I run (my legs move as if I'm running) while I'm asleep, and I growl and bark! What do I dream about? Well, I chase cats, protect my home from intruders, and play with my mistress in my sleep. Dreams are as important to us dogs as they are to humans. Even cats dream. But it's not as interesting as us dogs. Well, the Howl may not always be weekly, but I promise you, we'll be here. Dogs are faithful, loyal, dependable and true. See you next time!
Your Faithful Friend,
Brownie
