Stewart Lawrence (as he was called) was the son of George Andrew Randell Lawrence b. March 1, 1858, in Mobile. He died July 11, 1907 in Fairhope, Alabama. His wife was Martha Rosa Overton b. June 20, 1858 in Palestine Texas, she was the daughter of David Ramson Overton and Evelyn Gibson George Andrew Randell Lawrence was the son of Silas V. Lawrence b. 1822 and Nancy Litchfield.
Silas V. Lawrence was the son of William W. West and Betsy Lawrence. Nancy Litchfield was the daughter of Lovey S. Nelson.
