information I have is as followed: The Steeles came from Ireland to America settling in different parts of the United States. Our Steeles came to South Carolina. My grandmother was Esther Steele born April 1900, she was the daughter of Isaac Steele born May 15, 1856 and died Sept. 12, 1932 in Robertsdale (Baldwin County) Alabama. My father said his grandmother who was married to Isaac Steele was Mary Browder. Isaac Shoven Steele was the son of Wiliam Colby Steele born 1822 who was married to Elmira Jane Daniels. William Colby "Cobby" Steele was the son of Peter Henry Steele who was married to Elizabeth Eliz Danley. Peter, died between 1837 and 1840, his father was also name Peter Henry Steele born Aug. 15, 1773, St. James Santee Parish, Charleston South Carolina.
